Bangor Academy's Under 16 Squad, winners of the "Passionate About Rugby" promotion run in conjunction with the Bank of Ireland and the Belfast Telegraph, got some top rugby coaching this week when they took part in a training session led by the Ulster Coaches and players at Ravenhill.
Bangor Academy were the 1st prize winners in the token collect competition, winning a set of kit for their team, a kit bag packed full of training gear and the coveted session with members of the Ulster Rugby Squad.

Over 30 budding rugby players from the North Down school got to soak up the Ravenhill experience on Tuesday of this week, changing in the red and white Ulster dressing be fore hitting the pitch for an intensive session.

The session was led by Ulster Defence Coach Neil Kelly while Head Coach Mark McCall and Forwards Coach Allen Clarke gave advice, hints and tips to the players. Scrum-half Kieran Campbell opened with some warm-up drills involving passing and ball handling skills before Paul Steinmetz, Justin Harrison and Simon Best weighed in with defence work.

Then the group split into two groups, forwards and backs to work individually with their new coaches before coming together for some continuity at the end.
