Andrew Trimble will start for Ireland on the wing against Scotland at Lansdowne Road this Saturday in the RBS Six Nations match.
The second row berths for the Ireland team are the only outstanding selection issues for Ireland Coach Eddie O’Sullivan as he named his team to play Scotland this Saturday (11th March) in the RBS 6 Nations Championship.
O’Sullivan has made no changes to the back division, front row or back row or the replacements for these positions, but has delayed naming his two second rows for the game as he waits on the fitness of Paul O’Connell before confirming the final team.
The final second row pairing and replacement will be confirmed on Thursday afternoon following a fitness test on Paul O’Connell and will be selected from Paul O’Connell, Malcolm O’Kelly, Donncha O’Callaghan and Mick O’Driscoll. The team will be captained by Brian O’Driscoll for the 26th time.
The Ireland team to play Scotland in the RBS 6 Nations Championship in Lansdowne Road on Saturday, 11th March 2006 at 15.00hrs (GMT) is as follows:
