Ulster's David Humphreys is homing in on a Heineken Cup double
David Humphreys is homing in on a Heineken Cup double – 50 tournament appearances and 500 tournament points

The out-half is set to join the "Elite 50" Club this Saturday when he takes the field in his 50th Heineken Cup appearance at Vicarage Road when Ulster travel to London for the round 4 match against Saracens and afterwards he will be formally presented with an embroidered "50" cap. Former team-mate Gary Longwell is the only other Ulster player to so far acheive that number of appearances in the competition.

The 14 points Humphreys scored in last weekend's round 3 match against Saracens at Ravenhill brings his total number of points in the Heineken Cup European tournament to 494 and once he reaches the landmark 500 points he will also be presented with a glass boot. As it stands, only four other players in the history of the comeptition have kicked over 500 points.
