| Medallion Update from the group stages |
Section A Limavady GS won Section A with Friends' School runners up.
Limavady now entertain Larne GS in Round 1.
Section B
Ballynahinch HS go through as winners of Section B to play Grosvenor GS.
Ballymoney HS and Lurgan College have to play next week to decide which team finishes as runners up in this group.
Section C Portora Royal made the trip to play St Columb's College at City of Derry RFC. A close game saw Portora eventually win the match by 10-8. That means that Portora finish on the top of Group C. Portora will now travel to Cambridge House for an intriguing first round encounter on January 14th.
Section D
Carrickfergus GS have come out on top of this group after a comprehensive victory over a very spirited Limavady HS XV.
Carricfergus GS now have the difficult task of travelling to Methodist College for their first round game. The Carrickfergus boys will have been boosted by their performances in the group stages and will travel in a confident frame of mind.
Dunluce College performed well to take the runners up spot in this group.
Section E
With all matches now completed in this competitive group, Banbridge HS have won the group with a 24-10 win over a very competent Ashfield Boys' team.
Banbridge HS now travel to Belfast Royal Academy for what could be an interesting encounter on January 14th. Banbridge coach, Alan Kirk, makes a return to his Alma Mater with his young Banbridge team.
In the final game in this group, Strabane GS defeated a very lively Belfast Boys' Model team by 25-7. |
