| A Roger Wilson try and three beautifully stuck penalties and one conversion from the boot of David Humphreys have given Ulster a half-time lead over the Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade.
Ulster prop Robbie Kempson was binned early in the game for punching the Dragons' No. 8 Shawn Van Rensberg and Percy Montgomery duly slotted over the penalty to open the scoring on 8 minutes.
Two more Montgomery penalties to one from Ulster's David Humphreys made the score 9 - 3 to the Dragons but then Ulster No. 8 Roger Wilson crossed the try-line with Humphreys conversion giving ulster the lead for the first time in the game, Dragons 9 - 10 Ulster.
Humphreys added two more penalties beofre the half-time whistle to stretch Ulster's lead to 7 points.
