Injury Update:
Stephen Ferris: Stephen suffered a medial ligament injury to his right knee while training with the Lions on June 8th. On review with a consultant in Belfast last week, a conservative management program was confirmed. Stephen has commenced a rehab program at Newforge and we expect him to return to training with the squad in August.
Andrew Trimble: Andrew successfully underwent right knee surgery on the 30th April, to correct a long standing patella injury. His rehab program has progressed well and to plan, and currently Andrew is working in the gym on limb and joint strength and function with Strength and Conditioning Coach, JD. We expect Andrew to return to impact through running in the next 14 days.
David Pollock: David had successful surgery to his right hip on May 20th, to repair a torn labrum at the joint and remove an osteophyte from the femoral head. He will be 6 weeks post operation this Wednesday and will be reviewed by his surgeon on Thursday. To date rehab has been very controlled to ensure there has been minimal load through the joint however we expect to be able to push on with strengthening and improving function from next week.
